Actors perform a workplace scenario and your employees are observers, invited to comment and give advice to the protagonist. Forum Theatre is a drama facilitation technique where learners explore human behaviour and its impact on others. This style of training can encourage buy-in, debate and acceptance for change. The improvised scenario enables you to achieve your learning objectives and to communicate important company messages.

The group can experiment and witness alternative outcomes as a direct result of behavioural changes being demonstrated. Our workplace business actors are adept at responding in the moment, improvising different responses or behaviour, whilst maintaining your organisation’s brief.

How It Works

We provide you with an expert qualified trainer, along with two or more professional workplace business actors per session. The trainer will be crucial to ensure that the Forum Theatre process is facilitated appropriately and skillfully, to ensure maximum learning outcomes. Participants personally direct the protagonist to adjust their behaviours with the aim of reaching a more successful outcome. In some instances, there is an option to invite a participant to volunteer to take over and try an idea in place of the protagonist.

Length

We can provide a half day, one-day or two-day course, or simply slot into your day as a section of a training programme, ranging from two hours to two days. We can add an engaging way to inspire your people, encourage ownership of current challenges and communicate your key messages.
