The FTSE 250 housebuilding giant has always taken the issue of building safety very seriously and wanted to maintain an ongoing reputation as a leading responsible homebuilder.

The Challenge

Bellway Homes is committed to providing safe and high-quality homes for their customers that meet all the relevant building and safety regulations at the time of construction. With recent changes of Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, training surrounding the changes to fire safety policy and procedures was to be prioritised.

The senior leadership team of any construction company is integral to leading the way on the culture of health and safety. With this in mind, Bellway Homes requested a training programme that gave an opportunity for senior leaders to engage in discussion, exploration and learning. 

  • In depth subject matter expert meetings prior to the training to identify relevant key challenges.
  • The tailored design and roll out of a training programme to every senior leader across the entire business. This programme included theoretical knowledge transfer along with an immersive learning experience to maximise engagement, learning and behavioural change.
  • Creation of a bespoke training video and storyboard to support the design of a fire safety focused leadership eLearning course.
